In 2010, when the winery project began to be drawn up on paperby architect Joana Fernandes, the fifth generation of the family, the effects of climate change on the land and vineyards were already being felt, namely drier winters, hotter summers and, consequently, earlier harvests.
Being very aware of this reality, the starting point was to create a building that was as sustainable as possible, both in terms of integration into the natural landscape and in terms of energy efficiency, resulting in a Bioclimatic Winery. In 2022, the building received an Honorable Mention in the Algarve Architecture Award, promoted by the Algarve Order of Architects.
The entire winemaking process is carried out in our winery, from destemming the grapes to bottling, thus ensuring total quality control.
